Bide a Wee ~ John 15:7-17

May 6, 2018 Peg Weissbrod

John’s sermon, Bide a Wee, begins about 20 minutes into this recording.

Several times, when Deanne and I lived in Scotland, we were invited to “Bide a wee.” Stay a little longer – have a wee dram before returning to the city. It was an expression of warm friendship and hospitality. Read the rest of this entry »

Be Transformed! ~ Romans 12:1-2; Mark 1: 9-15

February 18, 2018 Peg Weissbrod

Rev. Lois Annich’s sermon begins around the 28 minute mark.

Another Lenten journey has begun. Over the years I’ve heard some people say that the word “journey” has become something of a cliché, but I confess to personally loving the word, conveying as it does a sense of movement that can be at times meandering and at other times purposeful. December 10, 2017 Peg Weissbrod

New members joined today. The sermon on this 2nd Sunday in Advent begins around the 36 minute mark.

There was once a young preacher who was given this advice: If, in the middle of your sermon, you forget your train of thought, just step back, pound the podium, and repeat the title of the sermon – and that will get you back on track! Read the rest of this entry »

And So Now What? ~ Ephesians 1: 3-14, John 1: 10-18

January 3, 2016 Peg Weissbrod

Happy New Year! This afternoon I shall turn on the television, watch the Steelers beat the Browns, and remove the ornaments from the tree, then the lights, and take the tree (which was one of the better ones we have ever had) to the tree lawn, where it will sit until Wednesday when it gets picked up for trash.
