A vegetable garden for the hungry

Abundance Acres was a community vegetable garden on the church lawn that provided fresh produce for our growing Food Pantry. For 5 years, from 2009 – 2014, the entire harvest went to feed the hungry in our midst.

In 2012, over 900 pounds of food were harvested and given away. But by 2015, the Garden’s 6th year, our Food Pantry program had outgrown Abundance Acres and the decision was made to end the garden. But it sure was fun!
