Member Margaret Brouwer’s Oratoria Voice of the Lake for solo voice, choir and instruments will be performed Fri. Oct. 18 at 7pm in Kulas Hall of the Cleve. Institute of Music. A musical vista of nature and the lake, Voice of the Lake showcases the recreational and rejuvenating joys of Lake Erie and its environmental concerns. The one-hour oratorio highlights the importance of this special gift from God, and our responsibility to care for it.

In addition to the Matthew Kerygma class, Pastor John Lentz is beginning a Living the Question video series on Sept 9 at 9:30am. This class is for especially designed for “Seekers” and those who are exploring Christianity. It is a great class option for those who cannot commit to weekly attendance as each class will have its own unique subject matter.

The Gospel of Matthew: God With Us Bible study will meet for 12 consecutive Sundays, beginning Sept. 9 at 9:30am. Registration begins Aug. 12 in South Hall after worship. $24 resource book recommended. Three groups, led by Kathryn Eloff and Tom Zych, Pat Jenkins and Laury Larson, and Ron Register and Ahren Stock, are planned. More info here.
