Justice & Mission announces its Call for Community Grant proposals. These grants provide financial support for community initiatives and programs that support its mission of increasing awareness of, and encouraging actions that respond to, injustice and human need. The GCC housing team is walking through the Noble area neighborhood on Sat. June 8 from 1 to 4pm. Forest Hill Church members are needed to help look for seriously deteriorated properties and determine if they are vacant or occupied. This is the final push to identify properties for the city housing department that need to be rehabbed and/or sold to owner occupants. Help the Pacesetters on Sat. June 1 as they host a for a Spring cleanup day and potluck lunch at the Transplant House of Cleveland near University Circle. The Transplant House provides affordable, temporary housing in a homelike environment for organ transplant patients and their families before and after transplant procedures.

The youth will lead a “More Light Teach-In” @9:30am on Sun. May 19 for all who are interested in discussing how God has been leading our congregation in the mission of More Light. From that discussion, the youth hope to form an intergenerational task force and ask Session to officially vote to become a More Light Church at their May 22 meeting. Come and see!
