To promote better interracial relationships, we offer a year-round Black History Education program as well as an active, entertaining, and educational Black History Education Month each February.
The 2020 Black History Month was an interactive learning program complete with outings, fellowship, and group activities, including:
Sun. Feb 2, 12:30-1:30pm: Base Camp
Sat. Feb. 8, mid to late afternoon: Intergenerational Movie Night
Sat. Feb. 15, 2pm or 7pm: Ma’afa at Olivet Institutional Baptist
Sat. Feb. 22, 4-7pm: Cooking Class with Chef Eric Wells of Sky LaRae’s Culinary Services
Sun. Feb. 23, 5-6:30pm: Soul Food Pot Luck with a Soul Fusion theme
Sun. Feb. 23, 6:30-8pm: Ascension: An Evening of African-American Music: 7th annual Black History Month Concert presented by musical director Caleb A. Wright
