The History of Integration in Cleveland Heights ~ Tues. Oct. 7 @ 7pm

Hands black whiteJoin us for a community event spotlighting FHC’s role in working for an open and integrated community. On Tues. Oct. 7, at 7:00pm, Cleve. Hts. activist Susie Kaeser and CSU professor Mark Souther will present the story of citizen-led activities that changed Cleve. Hts. from  an all-white suburb to a national model of integration. Between 1964 and 1976, citizens and community organizations successfully challenged real estate practices and community values supporting segregation. Together they created the lasting legacy we live in today: a lively civic culture where diversity is a primary asset.
